Money Smart Christmas Shopping

Tis the season to start Christmas shopping.  I mentioned yesterday that I am buying my kids personalized books for Christmas.  Seeing that offer reminded me that Christmas is only 2 months away!  What that means is that I need to start ordering anything that will be personalized or shipped, etc.

Now that I am working full time, I will likely do much of my shopping on-line and I want to take advantage of any cash back offers for shopping through specific links.  It’s free money, right?  Well, here are 3 links to help you save money when shopping on-line:

Shopscotch is a new one that I haven’t tried yet, but am very excited because they are partnered with Apple!  We are shopping for a new computer and I would love to get an ipad too – maybe I can save 10% if I shop through this link.

Ebates is one that I signed up for recently and automatically received a $10 gift card!  I chose Home Depot because we shop there weekly with our home improvements and painting etc, but there were other choices too.  I’m pretty sure they are also selling the entertainment books at a discount, so you get coupons, plus a free $10 gift certificate – perfect!

Swagbucks is a great program that pays you points just for searching the internet using its toolbar.  I signed up this summer and already have 1,800 points.  I am saving them up to redeem for Christmas presents or gift cards to give as Christmas presents.  Right now, 1,800 could be redeemed for a $15 iTunes GC, or $100 in gift certificates.

Happy shopping!  If you shop through any of these links, I’d love if you would come back here and comment on how much money you earned by using these them…
