I was looking forward to reviewing The Little Looster for nearly 7 weeks while waiting for it to be delivered. This isn’t the normal shipping time, the manufacturer was spacing out the reviews by bloggers. The reason I mention it is that I was a little concerned that I’d be disappointed after such a long buildup. But nothing to worry about. I LOVE it!
My daughter is 3 and is potty trained, but is still in the wanting help onto and off of the potty and the “MOM! I”m done! Come wipe my butt!” phase. The Looster changed that. It is so solid that she isn’t worried about tipping over the stool (like happened often with the little one we had before). The Little Looster fits snugly around the toilet so that her feet touch while she’s on it and she can step anywhere on it to get either up or down. (See Photo: The scrunchies as anklets is a new fashion trend she’s intent on setting.)
Chloe gets onto and off of the potty all by herself now! In less than 2 weeks, she has taken it from not only helping herself onto and off of the potty – but to wiping herself too. I think (speculating here) that she was feeling so confident about getting onto and off of the potty by herself that she decided she should be able to do it ALL by herself. And I’m not complaining!
One of my other concerns was whether we would have to designate one bathroom as Chloe’s because adults wouldn’t be able to use the toilet with the Little Looster around it. But the Looster is close enough that it doesn’t get in the way for adults – men or women.
Overall, I highly recommend the Little Looster and wish I’d known about it for my first two kiddos. My only complaint is that the L’s used for tread on the top of the Looster collect dirt and so we have another thing to clean – but that’s minor compared to how much I love it.
