Have I told you how much I LOVE having wine delivered to my door?

I don’t know if my husband will take my hint and get me a wine club membership for my birthday next week but thankfully I still have one more month of my California Wine Club membership to go. Meanwhile, my second month’s delivery arrived safe and sound. It could not have happened at a more opportune time.  I had two people over that were causing me a great deal of stress (not their fault, just the circumstances) and in the middle of our discussion the doorbell rang.

I opened the door (grateful for the excuse) and AHHHH! (insert Whitney Houston’s voice here) the angels sang.

There on my front step was a brown box I’m quickly coming to love.  The one from California Wine Club delivering my month’s wine selection.

I managed to hold off on opening a bottle for 5 minutes until my guests left and holy cow was it good.  The white is what I chose to sample first – it was sweet, but not too sugary, smooth, not oak-y or dry.  Just the way I like my white wine!

I am saving the red for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner so I can’t describe it from personal experience, but I can tell that these bottles are 10x better than the quality of wine I typically pick up from the local liquor store.
