Insanity Deals Website

dealsWith the economy the way it is and the possibility of a depression rivaling the Great Depression, we are all looking to stretch a buck as far as possible.  Heck, even in fabulous economic times, we want to get a good deal for our money.  Right?

About six weeks ago some fellow bloggers brought nomorerack to my attention as a resource for finding great deals steals on products.  An ipad for only $43?  Unbelievable!

But it’s true.  Nomorerack has what they call insanity deals.  A few of the past ones are shown in the photo above:

  • iPad – $43
  • 52″ HDTV – $60
  • Louis Vuitton Handbag  – $18
  • Gucci Sunglasses – $10

No matter how strict your budget may be, it would be criminal to pass up deals like those.  You may be skeptical, but I have confirmed that it is true.  Granted, I haven’t been lucky enough to snag one of these insane discounts, but I do know people that have gotten them (personally).  It is genuine.  People actually do get these products for those prices.

Other Deals

The insanity deals alone make this site worth checking out, but they aren’t the only appeal.  Nomorerack also has a free deal every day, a charity deal, and vacation deals.

Free Deal

The free deal is just that – free.  It’s not a free iPad or anything, but it’s usually a decent product.  For example, today’s is a no slip dashboard pad – the kind you can put your phone on or whatnot so they don’t slide around when you turn a corner.  You pay a flat $2 shipping on any item, so ultimately the free item will cost $2 out of pocket.  Not too shabby.

Charity Deal

The charity deal is an awesome concept.  An item is selected to be the charity item for the day and then for each purchased, nomorerack donates $1 to charity.  The current charity they are supporting is The Pet Rescue Center.  I’m pretty sure they alternate the charities of the day.

Vacation Deal

The deals I am most excited about are the vacation deals.  They work similarly to the insanity deals and randomly pop up.  The prize?  A vacation for two for a whopping $5.64.  It includes airfare!  After the incredibly difficult year my husband and I endured in 2011, a vacation would be incredibly welcome.  Of course, with our extremely tight budget, any vacation ideas are just dreams at this point – unless, of course, we could get one for $5!

The vacation deals are only running through tomorrow, so fingers crossed I luck into one of them.  Any extra good vacation wishes would be appreciated.

  1. Becareful. They have good/okay deals daily but I wouldn’t bother with the insanity deals – always sold out because of a bug in the system. Also don’t try to use ur account on same address as other people – you will probably get banned if you (your mom, sister, dad, brother, etc.) buy/win too much stuff. The 3 week wait for insanity deal is also fake (been tested multiple times – an account that already won will always get the Product out of Stock message while the buddy next to you is able to add it even 2-5 seconds after you). Customer service is crap – avoid emailing. Calling them directly gets better results depending on who answers. Other than that – okay site for gifts/daily deal items. Just remember, shipping can take anywhere from 1 and 1/2 weeks to 2 months or more – sometimes they might not ship your item at all and wait for you to call before cancelling your order and giving you a refund (as other people have reported). Cover your bases – do your homework (savings aren’t really 80-90 percent – usually only 20-50 percent but can be more expensive than ebay/amazon/etc.). Use ur 30 day limit on Credit Card transactions and 45 day limit on Paypal disputes if you do not get a “shipped” status on ur items on time (after you tried to call/email them that is).

  2. Oh and by bug I mean a trick. It doesn’t involve any third party software or hacking – just a computer with internet access and a compatible web browser (IE, Safari, firefox, etc.). People don’t seem to want to share the bug/trick in the system – maybe I’ll post up a video of it one of these days.

  3. I am really impressed with your writing skills and
also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?

Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
