Weight Loss Weigh In #NSnation

I must admit that the vlog I made last week has really helped me stay motivated.   There have been a couple of times this week I have been tempted to have a glass of wine or eat a high carb meal.  But I didn’t!

I kept reminding myself of my desire to lose 20 lbs before bathing suit season and how I looked on the video.  It worked!

I did not  get any running in though.  I’m having a hard time figuring out how to get a run in during the week.

I have work from 8 to 5 then rush home to take kids to sports practice, make dinner, do homework, maybe respond to some blog or Facebook comments and it’s bed time.

I know I can make time late at night, but that is not my best motivation time.  I’m tired darn it!

When I wasn’t working, my ideal running time was around 10 o’clock.  It was after I was up for a couple of hours.  Enough time to eat breakfast, have a gallon cup of coffee and then get on the treadmill.

Unfortunately 10 a.m. is not really going to work now that I have a job.  Although my job is fantastic and allows me to work from home regularly, so maybe I can make it work a day or two if I’m working from home.

However, when I’m not traveling and corporate isn’t in town, my job has made it easier to stick to Nutrisystem lunches and snacks.   I just bring my lunch and snacks with me.  All pre-planned and easy to prepare.  Simple really.

I’ve also taken to keeping an insulated cup with a straw on my desk all day with water in it.  For some reason it is much easier for me to get my 64oz in when I have a straw.

So what does all this mean?

Weight Loss Results

  • Lost 2.4 pounds.
  • Total weight loss to date – 9.0 pounds.
  • First goal 10 pounds (1.0 lbs to go).

I’m slowly shedding some pounds.  Yay!

Week’s Weight Loss Goals

My goals for this week include:

  • run 3 times,
  • drink 64oz of water every day, and
  • drink no alcohol.

I’ll be watching the video I made last week, participating in the Empty the Trunk Facebook group , and relying on my weight loss motivation pinterest boards to keep me motivated.
