I lost 220 pounds!

weight lossI’m Baaaaack!

I’m probably fooling myself into thinking that anyone noticed I haven’t been posting lately, but just in case anyone is waiting for an explanation…. well, there were lots of reasons – the most newsworthy being that I’m getting a divorce (post for another day).  That’s 200 of the 220 lbs I’ve lost.

There were some logistics associated with the divorce that hindered my ability to post, such as minor details like not having a computer. But I finally mortgaged my firstborn to Apple got a new computer, so no more technical difficulty excuses.

20 Pounds Lighter

I’m much happier to report about the 20 pounds I’ve lost off my butt the scale.  And although I just joked it was off my rear end, the reality is my butt is the first place I gain weight and my breasts are the first place I lose it.  Yeah, I’m cursed lucky that way.

Apparently my breasts have lost all they possibly can because my butt is smaller too.  How do I know?  My 4 year old randomly announced one day “Mom, your butt is getting smaller.”  I love that girl.

Plus my pants fit!!  And my fat pants are too big – so big I can’t even wear them anyway any more.  You have no idea how thrilled I am to have loose pants – well, maybe you do.

Weigh In

So, where am I on the scale exactly?

  • Last time I weighed in I had lost a total of 16.6 pounds and weighed 206.4 pounds.
  • Today’s weight – 202.8
  • Total loss to date – 20.2 pounds

I’m psyched about getting my next Nutrisystem. bear reaching the 20 pound goal, but disappointed that I’ve slacked off in the exercise department.

I’m also super excited about the next milestones that are so close I can taste them – 10% weight loss (at 23lbs lost) and crossing that 200 pound line.  Coincidentally, they are both the same scale number, so that’s my next weight goal.

So this week I’m aiming to exercise 3 times (even if it’s only 10 minutes or a walk around the block) and to get back on track with Nutrisystem at least 4 days.  I KNOW that if I stick to the Nutrisystem Plan for 2 weeks I will meet my next milestone.  I am hoping that’s enough incentive to keep me on track.

Will let you know next week!

How did you do with your goals while I was gone?

  1. I am so happy for you, except for the divorce thing. That will turn out okay too! I bet you are looking like one hot mama. I look forward to the next time I see you. Keep up the great work.

  2. You are looking amazing! I’m so proud of you with all of your weight loss goals and achieving them. I really struggle with motivation and keeping on track. I’ll exercise and eat well, lose some weight and then slow down and not eat as good and gain it back. Makes me crazy. Great idea to walk and exercise in small bursts. I’m going to try it.

  3. You know I keep up with your blog even if we don’t tribe together anymore :) Great job on losing 20 lbs. I put on a lot of weight myself the last extra 16 lbs months due to job stress etc. Lost about 8 of the 16 & that hasn’t been easy. Good for you ! Sorry about the other 200 lbs, but you’re strong. You’ll be ok & become stronger. All the best xoxoxo. Looking forward to hearing more about your health journey !

  4. So, so proud of you! We are both heading in the right direction and will reach our goals if we stick with it. (I’m down 26 lbs.) Keep it up, and keep your chin up. You are strong. You are invincible. You are woman! Rawr!! :D

  5. Hip, hip, hooray! Cheers to less hips:-) You should be very proud! But I’m sorry about the other part – been there. Wishing you happiness soon. Very soon.

  6. Daria, I am so proud of you – on both fronts. You are a strong woman who can do anything you set your mind to. I have do doubt you will reach your goals. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

  7. I LOVE losing weight! Are you still going strong? I eliminated grains, refined sugar, and dairy from my entire family’s diet in October 2011 and I lost 60lbs in a year just by cutting those things out! I gained energy and an amazing new outlook on food. It has been great. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck!

  8. Congrats on the weight loss! As for the divorce I can only say to look at it like a guest told me when I worked at Disneyland. There was a guest that was so happy and said she had saved up for this and she was celebrating. When I asked what she was celebrating she said her divorce was final. I stood there for a minute unsure then I went and got her a button. The only one I could find that seemed appropriate was the happily ever after button. When I gave it to her she told me that I probably thought she was crazy. But after it sunk in she quit being sad and saw it as his loss and that she could do much better without him. That he wasnt good enough for her and she was free with a new beginning. So I hope this is a new beginning to your happily ever after.
