= a need for iPhone 5 for Dummies!

This is my first Apple phone so I’m sure some of my learning curve was due to switching from Android to Apple.  But having the iPhone 5 for Dummies book has really helped me get familiar with the ins and outs of my phone.  I only wish I had gotten this book sooner!  I’m sure my friends whom I peppered with questions wish I did too.

I am a big fan of the for Dummies books and the iPhone 5 for Dummies lives up to the brand’s reputation.  It is easily understandable, has great color photos to walk you through the steps, and takes things from the very basics to a step beyond so you really feel like you know what you are doing once you’ve read it.

Some of the things I show in the video include:

  • How to get your map to give you voice directions
  • How to set a reminder for a location (or a time/day)
  • How to write a note without typing
  • How to check open applications (and turn them off) to save your battery
  • And more…

Want to see some of the things I learned?  Check out my video!

If I were to ever be lucky enough to have one of these phones, I would have to have this book! I am barely using a computer, cell phones irritate me to no end. I use it to make calls when necessary and that is all I have figured out about it. I think the I phone is an awesome thing to have for people who are capable of using them. I just don’t have it in me.. lol

  3. Jane Ritz says:

  4. Liz says:

I find Apple products to be easier to use than droids, actually – my parents have an iPad and I have a droid so I get the best of both worlds. :)

An iPhone 5 is still on my list!!! That’s so neat how they have a ‘dummies’ book for it! I’ve had my iPhone 4s for quite some time and also had the 3S and I’m still getting used to it all!!

I’m so going to check out your video!

I wouldn’t know any of this because I am always stuck with an old phone. I just received my first smart phone through a hand-me-down. It’s a first generation smart phone and it doesn’t have as many features as the new ones. You’re lucky to get an iPhone 5!
