Last year Santa brought the family an XBox 360 with Kinect along with the current Just Dance game from Ubisoft.
The kids have had such a great time playing this game that when I was asked if I wanted to review the Just Dance 2014 version I said “Heck, Yeah!”.
Just Dance 2014 Review
My favorite part about the Just Dance games are that all my kids enjoy them. Do you know how hard it is to find games and activities that a budding preteen girl (12), a 9 year old boy, and a 5 year old Kindergartner ALL enjoy playing?
Let’s just say I’m pretty sure finding a genuine unicorn may be easier.
But that illusory unicorn must be out there somewhere because I’ve found the kids playing Just Dance 2014 together without any bribery on my part at all.
Not Just for Kids
Just Dance 2014 is one of those rare activities that not only do the kids enjoy, but I enjoy too. Shhh, don’t tell the kids, but I’ve even been known to play when they aren’t home!
Seriously. It’s a great workout, and fun which means it feels less like work while still getting my heart rate up, improving my mood with the high energy music, and burning those pesky calories that seem more content to stick around now that I’m nearly 40.
Our Favorite Songs
I asked the kids what they like most about Just Dance 2014 and the first thing they said was the music selection. They really like the line up of songs to choose from, as well as, the variety of dance moves. You can find the entire list of songs on Just Dance 2014 and preview the dance moves there too. Our favorites include:
- DLC: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton – “Can’t Hold Us”
- FREE DLC: Katy Perry – “Roar”
- Lady Gaga ft. Colby O’Donis – “Just Dance”
- Rihanna – “Where Have You Been”
- Ke$ha – “C’mon”
- Katy Perry – “I Kissed A Girl”
- Gloria Gaynor – “I Will Survive”
- The Girly Team – “Flashdance…What A Feeling”
- And PLENTY more!!
Just Dance 2014 Preview
Check out how much fun the girls are having together in this short video. Is there anything better than hearing those giggles?
Just Dance 2014 is also a great family game night activity. The music is good, it gets people moving and there is a ton of laughter too. What more do you want from a video game?
If you are looking for a gift for a child of almost any age, a family gift, or for a fun gift for an adult, I highly recommend Just Dance 2014. Even better you can buy it on Amazon without having to brave the holiday crowds.
Enjoy! And happy dancing!
