Shake Up Your Mornings AND Enter a $25 Giveaway! #review

**This post was created in partnership with Quaker. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Quaker Shake Weekday mornings are a true test of my sanity and organizational skills – that’s assuming I pass the motivational test of whether or not to stop hitting snooze and extract myself from the warm coziness of my covers.  Not gonna lie and say that’s a test on which I always score 100%.

Getting three kids ready for school, me getting ready for work, last minute notices to be signed and checks to be written for lunch or field trips or fundraisers, teeth to be brushed, backpacks and shoes found, dog let out, pets fed, and somewhere in there we’re supposed to find time for breakfast.

I know, I know.  I could hit snooze a couple less times and have that “extra time” to whip up a gourmet breakfast of perfectly balanced nutrition, amazing taste and scrumptiousness that the kids will brag about to their classmates… Yes, that was a dream I had once. :)  But then reality intrudes again and I simply know that’s not going to happen.

I am always searching for a breakfast solution that is CONVENIENT, but it also has to pass the kids’ tastebud filter and my nutrition criteria too.

We were given the chance to try the Quaker Breakfast Shakes in Strawberry and Chocolate recently (they also come in Vanilla) and I went into the review hopeful that the kids would approve – because honestly?  What can be more convenient than a grab and go shake?

Quaker Shakes

Quaker Shake As you can see, the Quaker Breakfast Shakes were two thumbs up with the kids’ tastebuds.  Chocolate being their favorite.   They were super convenient and with 10 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber, they pass my criteria too.

There’s also a TWO DOLLAR coupon available if you want to try these for your family.  Print the $2 Coupon here.

  1. Taste is important (but nutrition is really) – my teenagers fight me about eating breakfast, and if I can throw one of these at them, then I’ll know they’re getting some of the nutrition they need while they head off to school.

  2. We currently eat either bagels or make Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks for breakfast. My kids would love these!

  3. the most important thing to me in a breakfast shake is Nutrition. I recently started living a more healthy lifestyle so I would like to start my morning off with something healthy before my morning workout routine.
