I celebrated my birthday this month. No, we don’t need to get into the details about the number of years, or even decades that were represented on my cake (or would have been if I’d had one).
Let’s just agree the smoke detectors would have gone off if all the candles necessary had actually been lit.
Anywho, I came home from work one day to a large box on my porch. As you know, no matter what your age, when you come home to a package on your doorstep – especially around your birthday – your heart goes pitter patter and you feel like a 6 year old on Christmas morning again.
That small box on top had a Tri-Blade Spiral Vegetable Slicer in it. The spiralizer creates noodles from various vegetables, but the one I’ve seen used the most on Pinterest are zucchinis. This is especially popular for anyone looking to reduce carbs or go gluten free or introduce more veggies.
I created zucchini noodles with my spiralizer for the first time tonight.
Aren’t they pretty?
It’s super easy to use, surprisingly so actually. It creates ribbons, thick noodles and spaghetti size noodles. I tried all three blades and then just sautéed them in olive oil and diced garlic for about 5 minutes then topped with parmesan cheese.
The true test? My picky child ate ALL his zucchini tonight! And it wasn’t a small helping either.
I absolutely LOVE it! I can’t wait to try these in place of pasta with our normal family recipes.
Do you want one? Or want to get one for the cook in your life?
I found this one on Amazon for $20. This is an affiliate link by the way, but I’ve not been compensated in any way for this post. I simply love it so much I wanted to share!
